How are your items processed?
Upon receipt of your donation, Jewelry for Good will have your items sorted and weighed by United Coin & Jewelry (UCJ). UCJ executes a safe and secure auditing process with the latest in metal analysis technology.
After your donation is processed, you will receive an emailed donation receipt from Jewelry for Good for 100% of the actual market value of the gold or silver on the day your donation was received as your tax deduction. Your receipt will include an itemization by grams, including the total value for each type of metal, so you receive the most accurate report of your donation’s value.
Within 2–4 weeks after processing, Jewelry for Good sends a check to HFA for the cash value of your items, less the cost of processing and refining (75% to 85% of gold value, and 70% of sterling silver value).
