March 11, 2025 — Noon–1:30pm ET
People with a primary diagnosis of Alzheimer’s disease and other types of dementia are the fastest growing segment of the hospice population. This program will address strategies to help hospice and end-of-life clinicians understand the complex challenges that these diagnoses present at life’s end. Experts from Agrace will share information about various types of dementia, their progressions, and the critical role of education in assisting patients and families. Panelists will discuss common end-of-life symptoms that present in these patients and how to support families’ emotional and logistical challenges. The program will also stress the role of hospice and palliative care professionals in educating their broader communities about dementia.
