Hospice Foundation of America Aids Western North Carolina Hospices
WASHINGTON — Hospice Foundation of America (HFA) has committed $15,000 to support hospice patients, staff, and providers in areas affected by Hurricane Helene.
The hospices, all non-profit providers, receiving HFA support include:
Four Seasons Foundation (Four Seasons Hospice & Palliative Care)
Compassionate Care Western North Carolina
Hospice and Palliative Care of the Blue Ridge
“Most hospice care is provided in a residential setting, with hospice staff visiting patients and families in their homes. Simply getting to patients to provide the necessary care and supplies will stretch resources to the limit for these hospices,” said Amy Tucci, president and CEO of HFA. “We want to help in any way that we can.”
Hospice Foundation of America is a 501(c)(3) that promotes the value of advance care planning, conducts research to improve end-of-life care, educates the public and healthcare professionals about the benefits of hospice care, and supports hospices providers in the aftermath of catastrophic events.
