Leigh Ann Kingsbury is the CEO and Principal Consultant of InLeadS Consulting. For more than 30 years she has strived to use best practices in supporting people who live with disabilities, including people with physical disabilities, people who live with intellectual and developmental disabilities, older adults, and people living with Alzheimer’s disease and other dementias. Leigh Ann’s passion is helping people with disabilities develop advance directives to ensure each person can remain in charge of their lives when faced with complex healthcare situations and/or the end of their lives.
Leigh Ann is a charter member of the Learning Community for Person Centered Practices, has served as the Executive and Regional Director of two non-profit human services agencies; recently facilitated a legislative Alzheimer’s Task Force for the Ohio Department of Aging, and currently supports Home and Community Based Services’ Waiver Redesign efforts for Indiana’s Division of Disability and Rehabilitative Services and the Family and Social Services Administration. In partnership with Mary Beth Lepkowsky, Leigh Ann developed and co-leads the facilitator course “Person Centered Approaches to Healthcare Decision Making” and is the author of People Planning Ahead: A Guide to Communicating Healthcare and End of Life Wishes.
