Elizabeth Crunk is a psychotherapist, educator, and researcher who maintains a private practice in Washington, DC. She specializes in treating adults who are bereaved or who have experienced a loss, with particular expertise in treating complications in grieving. Prior to establishing her practice, Crunk served as assistant professor of counseling at The George Washington University. She has presented over 70 workshops, presentations, and webinars on grief and counselor education nationally and internationally. She is lead author or co-author on numerous published peer-reviewed articles, empirical studies, and novel assessment tools, including the Coping Assessment for Bereavement and Loss Experiences (CABLE), a brief instrument that is designed to assess potentially constructive strategies for coping with grief. Crunk currently serves on the Advisory Board of the Tragedy Assistance Program for Survivors and is a Past President of the European Board of the American Counseling Association.
