Description:

Extraordinary experiences at end of life -- such as deathbed visions, out-of-body journeys and near-death experiences -- have been recorded since the beginning of human history but did not enter the realm of contemporary academic research until the 1970s. Since then, the topic has been widely studied, and reports from resuscitated patients have entered the medical mainstream through the work of contemporary researchers. In this presentation Dr. Terri Daniel and Dr. Kenneth Doka discuss the most current research in this area and how it can be used to support patients having these experiences and promote acceptance of these experiences in clinical settings. Dr. Doka draws upon examples from his new book, “When We Die: Extraordinary Experiences at Life’s End.”

1.5 hour CE program

Course materials can be accessed below.
