There are thousands of hospice and palliative providers nationwide, including non-profit, etc. Keep in mind that the majority of hospice and palliative care is provided at a person's home. Look for a hospice provider near the location of the person in need of hospice care. The city or town listed with a hospice should be in the same general area. State hospice organizations and health departments may be able to answer questions about services and options available in your state. Many state hospice associations also provide their own online provider directories—see the listing below for contact information.

Medicare's website, Care Compare, provides lists and ratings, based on customer ratings/feedback, of hospice providers in your community that you may find useful in evaluating local services. This database is searchable by city, state, and zip code.
